Round of Applause

I can smile when you ask me to.

But that doesn’t mean you’ll see it.

I can dance if you want me to,

But it doesn’t mean I’ll hear it.

I could reach out my hand to you,

But it doesn’t mean you’ll take it.

I live in mind, it helps me cope,

But it doesn’t mean I feel anymore.

Please don’t tap the glass,

I don’t do any tricks…

My life itself a circus, so much to perform.

I only wish that I myself, were not made to conform.

There’s so much to do, so I must go.

But I pray you enjoy the show.
